Cursor AI
School.

Train someone on your team into a Forward Deployed Engineer — or bring Ankit embedded to lead the track and uplift 1–2 people alongside. Six months of real building with Cursor, not lecture halls.

Sponsor-only · or full engagement 6 months · ₹10k/month per person Cohort of 5 — starts when full

Someone you already trust.
Trained to build for you.

Most founders don’t lack ideas — they lack someone inside the company who can turn operational pain into working software without a dev shop on retainer.

You sponsor one person (or a small squad). They train for six months — remotely, hands-on, on Cursor and real project work. When they come through, they’re not a generic developer. They’re an FDE for your company: they know how you work, and they own the stack that supports it.

Why sponsor

₹60,000 over six months beats a mis-hire, a bloated agency, or waiting a year for the “perfect” senior engineer who never quite gets your business.

Who to pick

Someone already inside — curious, reliable, close to the problem. Not necessarily a CS grad. Often the best FDE is the person who’s been fixing things manually for months.

What you get back

A builder who develops, enhances, and maintains your internal tools — spreadsheets replaced, workflows automated, software that fits how you actually run.

How cohorts work

Five seats per cohort. One founder can send a single person — or fill all five with their own team. When five seats are committed, we run.

Sponsor-only, or
builder + uplift.

Sponsor-only

You already have product leadership. You need someone trained into an FDE. They join the cohort, build on real work, and return able to own internal software end to end.

Full engagement

Need the builder and the uplift? Ankit embeds to lead your product or internal-tools track, ships v1 with you, and trains 1–2 insiders on Cursor and AI-native workflows so they can develop, enhance, and maintain what you build.

Six months.
What we actually do.

The program is project-based mentorship, not a video syllabus. Each phase has a clear outcome. Work is reviewed live. Progress is measured by what ships and what the student can maintain — not by attendance.

Phase 01 Months 1–2

Foundations

Get productive in a real codebase without drowning in setup. Cursor becomes the daily environment — not a demo tool.

  • Environment & repos — Cursor setup, accounts, cloning, branches, and a calm first PR. No “install hell” as the curriculum.
  • Reading code — how to navigate an unfamiliar project, find the path of a feature, and change one thing without breaking five others.
  • Ship small — copy, UI, config, and simple logic changes that land in a real (or cohort) repo and get reviewed.
  • Git that matters — commit hygiene, pull requests, responding to review comments, and undoing mistakes safely.
  • Business context — map how the sponsor’s company actually runs: who uses which tools, where the pain is, what “done” means operationally.

Exit: Student can open a repo, orient, make a small change with Cursor, open a PR, and explain what they changed and why.

Phase 02 Months 2–3

AI-native workflows

Build with agents, context, and iteration speed that holds up in a codebase — not one-shot prompts that fall apart on the second feature.

  • Context over clever prompts — feeding the right files, errors, and constraints so the agent works on your stack, not a generic tutorial app.
  • Plan → generate → verify → fix — the loop we use on every feature: write the intent, generate, run it, read the failure, iterate.
  • Agents as pair, not autopilot — when to accept, when to reject, when to rewrite by hand. Judgment is the skill.
  • Debugging with AI — stack traces, logs, and “it works on my machine” turned into a systematic investigation, not guesswork.
  • First tool slice — a small internal utility or workflow piece end to end: data in, UI or API out, deployable, documented enough to revisit.

Exit: Student can take a fuzzy operational need, break it into steps, and ship a thin vertical slice using Cursor without waiting for a senior to type every line.

Phase 03 Months 3–5

Embedded practice

Real requirements, real constraints. The develop → enhance → maintain loop across tools that matter to a business — not assignments that get thrown away.

  • Requirements from the floor — pull needs from operators, founders, or internal users. Translate “we do this in Excel every Friday” into software.
  • Constraints that teach — permissions, messy data, mobile field use, “must work offline-ish,” handoff to non-technical staff.
  • Develop, enhance, maintain — ship v1, then improve it from real feedback, then keep it running. Multiple systems over the phase, not one demo.
  • Code that survives you — naming, structure, short notes, and deploy steps so the company isn’t locked to one person’s memory.
  • Review culture — weekly demos to the sponsor or cohort; feedback treated as product input, not grades.

Exit: Student has owned at least one internal tool through a full cycle — live users, changes after launch, and a clear path to keep it healthy.

Phase 04 Months 5–6

FDE readiness

Own a slice of internal software end to end. Leave as an embedded builder — not someone who completed a course.

  • End-to-end ownership — from intake of a business problem to shipped software, monitoring, and the next enhancement backlog.
  • Runbooks & handoff — how to deploy, who has access, what breaks, how to recover. The company can operate without the mentor in the room.
  • Sponsor readout — present what was built, what it replaced, how it’s maintained, and what the next 90 days of internal software should look like.
  • FDE habits — sit close to the business, prefer working software over decks, and treat internal tools as products with users — not tickets in a queue.

Exit: Sponsor has a Forward Deployed Engineer on the team — someone who can develop, enhance, and maintain internal software without a ₹30L hire or an agency on retainer.

How time is
actually spent.

Remote-friendly. Built around projects and mentorship. Expect focused building most of the week, with structured touchpoints so progress doesn’t stall in silence.

Build time

Most hours are on the student’s machine — shipping in Cursor against real or cohort projects, not passive video.

Mentorship

Live sessions with Ankit: unblock, review PRs, sharpen judgment on AI output, and set the next slice of work.

Sponsor loop

Periodic demos to the company so training stays tied to operational reality — not a side project that never lands.

Embedded builder,
not a ticket-taker.

A Forward Deployed Engineer isn’t a generic developer dropped into your org. They learn your workflows, tools, and operational reality — then own the software that supports them. The loop is develop, enhance, maintain — across multiple internal systems, not a one-off handoff.

Cursor AI School exists to train people into that shape: technically capable, business-literate, and productive inside a company without needing a large engineering org behind them.

Embedded in the business.
A proof that took time.

Cursor AI School grew out of mentoring inside a growing retail company — builders learning how the work actually runs, then owning the software that supports it.

That proof took six months on live systems — develop, enhance, maintain — across tools the company runs on:

  • Smart lock & access control app
  • Installation ops dashboard for building sites
  • Field sales & order management
  • Carpenter / trade-partner loyalty app

No separate dev team per tool. This brochure is that same path, written out for founders and companies.

Clear shape.
No invented pricing.
